Acting Gov. Jesus R. Sablan has signed into law an appropriation measure earmarking some $162,100 in surplus funds from an earlier project for the A&E construction of the proposed Hemodialysis Building Center and other collateral equipment.

Public Law 11-83 will tap funds still available from P.L. 9-1, which financed the Commonwealth Health Center Radiology and Respiratory Mechanical Works in 1994.

The unexpended balance of $162,100 will pay for the architectural and engineering design for the construction of the hemodialysis center in the CNMI as well as purchase collateral equipment.

The new law was sponsored by Representatives Heinz S. Hofschneider and David M. Apatang.
