Suspect in businessman’s killing arrested
A 24-year-old man is now facing murder charges before the Superior Court in connection with the brutal slaying of businessman Zhou You at Yellow House Massage Parlor in San Jose.
Assistant Attorney General James Benedetto did not give details on the alleged crime committed by Jeffrey T. Deleon Guerrero, one of the two suspects in the killing of Mr. Zhou, a Chinese national on March 1.
Mr. Deleon Guerrero is being held in the Division of Corrections.
Early this month police found the body of Mr. Zhou in a pool of blood when they arrived at the crime scene at around 3:00 am. The victim was found sitting by the entrance door, bending forward.
Witnesses said two men were seen arguing with the victim before he was murdered. One of the men was described as wearing a green shirt, big built with a shoulder length hair.
Inside the massage parlor, police found the chairs turned upside down and a pair of eyeglasses was found on the sofa behind the victim. The hallway and walls of the building were stained with blood.
Initial investigation showed that the two suspects came to the establishment demanding money from Mr. Zhou. However, the two men were refused and chased out of the establishment.
An hour later, the two came back, harassed the victim as they asked for money. They were again asked to leave the Yellow House premises.
After about a few minutes, the two suspects returned and struck the victim with a blunt object on his head and chest.
Mr. Zhou, who arrived on the island in 1992, left a two-year-old son and his wife Wu Hui Ling, who owns the massage parlor established in May 1995.
