Japanese students to join eco-adventure camp
On Monday, the third session of Mariana Eco Adventure Camp will begin. Designed for kids between the ages of four and 15, Eco Camp offers activities such as hiking, biking, go karts, tennis, golf, swimming lessons, computer time, field trips, and more.
During this session, students from Japan will be joining local kids for their daily activities. It will be the perfect place to make new friends and enjoy a variety of activities.
“We have a large number of kids from Japan that will be participating in Eco Camp beginning July 20. We look forward to the interaction between our local kids and the kids from Japan. It will be exciting to see the kids making new friends and keeping in touch after camp with e-mail and digital photos made during their day” said camp director Keirsten Hess.
Session 3 highlights include introductory scuba diving with Stingray Divers, a soccer lesson with a Japanese professional, an FBI Investigation, baseball skills, hiking on the Marpi Trail, and introduction to digital photography.
“We have put together a strong group of counselors that make Eco Camp a safe, educational, and fun. We have three swim instructors on staff, five lifeguards, one lifeguard instructor, as well as CPR and Infant CPR trained personnel,” said Ms. Hess.
Eco Adventure Camp is held at the Mariana Resort Hotel Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and runs throughout the summer. Eco Camp fee $150 for each two-week session. For more information and registration, visit http://www.ecocamp.mp or call 322-0770 Ext. 413.
