Thirty-two-year-old electrical technician Dionicio S. Camacho’s dedication and commitment earned him some extra spending money and a couple of well deserved days off.
Camacho, a 3-year veteran of the CPA Airport operations division took home the top honors handed out this quarter by the CPA employee incentive committee.

Each quarter the committee considers employees nominated by the supervisors and managers for the special quarterly award. The employee of the quarter honors go to the employee based on a number of factors including volume of work, quality of work, work habits, and work attitudes.

Mr. Camacho’s supervisor Mike Aldan notes in addition to performing accurate and precise work, he maintains an enthusiastic attitude and professional approach which helps set a positive example for other employees. For his extra effort Mr. Camacho earned a check for $100 and two days of administrative leave.
Since joining CPA in 1997, Mr. Camacho has received high marks from his supervisors.

His most recent achievement was the successful completion of specialized power plant training program. As an employee of the quarter recipient, Mr. Camacho also becomes eligible for CPA’s employee of the year award.

Five other CPA employees were nominated for the award: Marilyn M. Sablan of the CPA Custodial Department, Henry DLC. Cabrera of the Seaport Division, Officer Calistro T. Reyes of the Ports Police, Aircraft Fire Fighter Alex Aldan, and Joseph T. Santos of the Maintenance Department. But just because they didn’t win the big prize doesn’t mean they walk away empty handed. Any employee nominated by his department or division automatically earns one day of administrative leave.

Good attendance is also recognized at the Commonwealth Ports Authority. Six members of the Ports Police and two Port of Saipan employees received certificates for six months of perfect attendance and got a free day of administrative leave, courtesy of the Commonwealth Ports Authority. Acting Executive Director Regino M. Celis congratulated the top employees on a job well done and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
