New doctor at Tinian Health Center

Dr. Dragos Propescu, a US-trained Internal Medicine Specialist began full-time duty at the Tinian Health Center (THC) this week.

Dr. Propescu completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, New York City this year. He is originally from Romania where he finished medical school before moving to the United States to advance his medical training.

He trained in a wide variety of internal medicine specialties, including infectious disease, ICU, nephrology, ER and cardiology.

Dr. Propescu joins THC and will be able to provide expanded services to the residents of Tinian that were previously available only in Saipan.

It was through the considerable recruiting efforts of Vicente Reyes, resident director of THC, and Mayor Francisco M. Borja that the successful recruitment of Dr. Propescu was accomplished.
