Some of the ideas presented below will appear radical, but unless actually implemented we will never know the true results. I strongly add that they will certainly not lessen the quality of education now going on in our public schools. Read with an open mind. Change though painful at times is also an inevitable fact of life. Change is the only constant thing. To try and resist it is to court failure and doom. After reviewing the suggestions, I would enjoy hearing from you as to your thoughts about them.

A. THE SCHOOL AND THE SCHOOL DAY:

The school day should begin at eight o’clock in the morning and end at 4:30 P.M. This will allow all students to do their homework at school instead of bringing their textbooks home. The problem of forcing students to do their homework at home ends because the homework will be done at school. Period!
