Minor nabbed for drugs
Police arrested a 14-year old girl for illegal possession of “ice” and marijuana Jan. 12, 2001 at around 10 pm.
She was also slapped with charges of driving without a license and reckless driving. According to Rose Ada, DPS Information Officer, the police officer asked the girl to drive slowly as her vehicle moved passed him and overtook two other vehicles.
Instead, the girl continued to drive faster, ran off the roadway and hit a concrete water pipe. She was turned over to the Division of Youth Services.
Woman jailed for assault
Never look at a stranger straight in the eye so that you don’t get in trouble. Carla T. Torres slapped a Chinese woman and tore her dress simply because she did not like the way the victim looked at her.
A friend of Ms. Torres, Benjamin Hocog who tried to interfere with the police investigation at J’s Restaurant last Jan 13, 2001 at around 3:21 am.
Ms. Torres is facing charges of assault and battery and Mr. Hocog was charged with obstruction of justice.
Man assaults cop
Police arrested Jesus Fijihara Tesero for assaulting a police officer on Jan 11, 2001 at around 8 pm. Mr. Tesero came home drunk and hungry that evening so he was pissed when his wife has not done any cooking.
Irritated, he threw away the chicken that his wife Rhedora was preparing to cook. His wife called the police to intervene in the domestic quarrel.
Of course, Mr. Tesero did not like it so he shouted at the police officer who arrived at his house. He pushed and fought police officer Servando Regis as he tried to handcuff him.
