NMC restricts late registration

The Northern Marianas College has limited its late registration period to two days this Spring semester in efforts to change habits on the part of students to enlist on the last minute.
NMC officials disclosed yesterday that late registration is open for registrants starting today, Jan. 19 from 9:00am to 6:00pm and tomorrow from 9:00am to 12:00nn.
According to NMC acting director for Admission and Records Cyndi Guerrero, the college has already accommodated more than 800 students, although she said this figure is likely to increase in the next couple of days.
Classes will begin on Monday, January 22.
The office of Admission and Records said that only adding and dropping of courses will be permitted from January 22 through 26.
Ms. Guerrero said NMC is hoping that students will take advantage of the remaining days to register and continue their education and advancement as the NMC prepares improved programs that will enhance their skills.
The NMC she added will be able to come up with the exact figure and compare the difference once the Office of the Admission and Records finally collated all documents in the next two weeks.
