GDDC conducts registration for persons with disabilities
The CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities Assistive Technology Project will be conducting an Assistive Technology Training for parents of children with disabilities on March 21 from 8am to 12noon at the Assistive Technology Center (Bldg. 1310) on Capitol Hill.
The training is free of charge and will be conducted by Dr. Celia B. Lamkin, Assistive Technology Project Coordinator.
At the same time, the Commonwealth Election Commission will be opening its doors to eligible citizens with disabilities who would like to register to vote for the upcoming November election.
This registration will be conducted during the Assistive Technology Training between 8am and 10am. Please bring your birth certificate or passport, as you would need either one to register. Special accommodations will be made available upon request.
GDDC said this is the first step in exercising the right to vote of citizens with disabilities. Those who want to make a difference and see changes in public policy that would benefit people with disabilities and their families are urged to register to be able to vote in the November polls.
