Annual Tinian mini fest set

The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs on Tinian and the Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture, in cooperation with Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino, will sponsor the Annual Tinian Mini Arts Festival this weekend at the lobby of the Tinian Dynasty Hotel starting Friday at 10am up until Saturday at 9pm.

The two-day event will feature traditional crafts makers and artists from Saipan and Tinian. There will be actual crafts demonstration by Evalani Lizama, Douglas/Bernie Rankin, Latik John and Daniel Babauta from Saipan. Artists from Tinian will include Jose King, Helen Laanlayfag, Beverly Battaqlia and many others.

There will be dance performances by Isa Dancers from Saipan, music performances by Soloist Julian Hofschneider and the Island Home Grown Band, both from Tinian. Opening Reception will be on March 23 at 10am.
