Robber walks away with $2K
An uninvited visitor trespassed inside a Chinese man’s quarters late Wednesday afternoon, walking away with cash and other items, according to police.
A 48-year-old Chinese male residing within the Bismillah’s Auto Shop in Chalan Kanoa logged a police complaint alleging that a local man walked inside his bedroom and used his telephone without asking for permission.
According to police interview with victim Dezhu Cao, the suspect allegedly entered the room while its occupant was there.
The suspect reportedly proceeded to use the phone while the victim stood in wonder at the strange man who had just invaded his private dwelling.
Standing in the corner of the room, the Chamorro guy picked up a pair of pants and began to browse through its pockets, according to police.
He even asked the victim who the trousers belonged to. The victim then replied that it was his.
The suspect came upon a wallet tucked in one of the pants’ pockets. It contained some $2,400 in cash and identification cards which the suspect openly took in front of its owner.
Police records reveal that the suspect casually ran out of the room, as if nothing happened.
The victim told police it was not clear why the local man entered his room that afternoon.
Eyewitnesses within the area are positive of the person behind the robbery incident in CK along the Glory Market.
But police have yet to arrest him after authorities gather enough concrete evidence to nab the suspected robber. (MM)
