Teno signs Ports Week today
In recognition of the exemplary contribution of the Commonwealth Ports Authority to the development of the Northern Marianas, Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio is set to sign a proclamation endorsing April 22 to 28 as CNMI Ports Week.
CPA Media Liaison officer Travis Coffman said a brief ceremony is scheduled today at the CPA Seaport Conference Room where ports officials are expected to participate.
The CNMI Ports Week will gather all key personalities supporting the CPA on its relentless efforts to improve the economy of the Commonwealth through various significant programs.
Mr. Coffman said two military ships are scheduled to arrive on Saipan to participate in the week-long celebration. The public is encourage to participate in the slated tour of military vessels and port facilities on April 23 at 12pm and on April 27 at 10am.
Seaport tenants and port officials will also join hand in hand on its clean up ports day on April 25 and the student tour of military vessels and port facilities day on April 26.
On April 28, CPA will hold a military appreciation celebration where vendors and exhibitors will be participating. Mr. Coffman said there will also be live bands and appreciation banquet at the Saipan Stevedore Warehouse.
