Ernst & Young, Niizeki Int’l Saipan join HANMI
An international accountancy firm and an investment company have joined the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, HANMI chair Ronald Sablan announced yesterday.
The applications of Ernst & Young and Niizeki International Saipan were formally accepted by HANMI during an officers’ meeting held at the Pacific Gardenia Hotel, June 3, and was presented before HANMI’s general membership meeting last Friday.
“We are proud to receive Ernst & Young and Niizeki International Saipan as our new members. They have good standing on Saipan as a professional accountancy firm and an investment group that operates high-end establishments that make the CNMI an attractive destination,” said Sablan in a media release.
HANMI’s two main membership categories are the hoteliers, which are composed of hotels in good standing and are set by international standards; and allied, which are composed of business groups and associations engaged in travel and tours, including private companies in support of HANMI’s goals and objectives of engaging in community involvement and making the CNMI a prime destination.
Ernst & Young, as well as Niizeki International Saipan, are the two new allied members.
Ernst & Young’s Saipan office is headed by James N. Whitt; Edward T. Salas is Niizeki International Saipan’s general manager.
HANMI has 15 hotel members with a total of 2,615 rooms; and 12 allied members, including Ernst & Young and Niizeki International Saipan.
