It is hard to say goodbye to our dearest CNMI soldiers as you begin your official duty on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004. It is a call to protect and safeguard the freedom and peace of our country. The highest sacrifice one can do is to offer one’s life for the love of his/her people. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has done this to save us. Through His trust, confidence and love in you, He has chosen each and every one of you to be His soldiers to maintain freedom and peace for His people.

Rest assured that there are abundant prayers offered for all of you, petitioning God’s protection and safety while you are in the line of duty. May the Holy Spirit grant you His gifts of courage, wisdom and strength everyday as you serve our country to maintain freedom and peace.

You have made all of us very proud and we salute you for your bravery to respond to the call. We have all the trust and confidence of the troops in the Company E, 100 Battalion 442nd Infantry Division under the leadership of Capt. Franklin R. Babauta and the rest of the officials whom we met on Saipan on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004. We are content that our soldiers are in good hands with the blessing of our Lord our God.

Do not be worried of us, your families, for we will cling to one another and support each other everyday just like when you were around. Be brave, concentrate on what you do and always seek the Holy Spirit for guidance and protection. Your leaders have made each of you to be the best soldier you can possibly be. We know for sure that you are one of the best ever.

We would like to take this opportunity to give thanks to our Almighty God for all the wonderful people who have prayed, supported, and shown their love to our dearest CNMI soldiers as they prepared themselves to meet the challenges ahead of them. A special thank you to His Excellency Most Rev. Bishop Tomas A. Camacho for the special blessing he bestowed upon our soldiers on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004.

We love you, the Holy Spirit will be your fortress, and we salute you for your bravery and courage. May God bless you, the CNMI and the USA.

“You are my refuge and defense; guide me and lead me as you have promised.” Psalm 31:3

With all our love and prayers,
