MAN CHARGED FOR ALLEGEDLY ATTACKING ANOTHER WITH AXE
The Attorney General’s Office yesterday filed criminal charges against a person who allegedly assaulted another with an axe.
Forty-five-year-old Yu Chi Xie faces four charges: attempted first-degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.
CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton filed the criminal complaint against Yu at the Superior Court yesterday. The prosecutor did not specify the defendant’s gender in the criminal information.
Hutton accused Yu of beating up a woman and assaulting her with an axe last Sunday.
MAN CHARGED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT ON AGO LAWYER
A man is facing criminal charges for allegedly assaulting an attorney working for the CNMI Attorney General’s Office.
CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton lodged criminal charges against 29-year-old Bernard Techur Ikeda, who allegedly threatened to harm assistant attorney general Justin Wolosz in an incident that happened on Saipan last Sunday.
Hutton charged Ikeda with assault and two counts of disturbing the peace.
He also alleged that Ikeda disturbed the peace of Wolosz’s spouse.
WOMAN ACCUSED OF THEFT
A woman is facing a criminal charge before the Superior Court for allegedly stealing $1,260 in cash.
The Attorney General’s Office accused 37-year-old Remesia N. Ilek of stealing another’s money between Sept. 22 to Oct. 12 on Saipan.
CNMI chief prosecutor David Hutton lodged a charge of theft by deception in a criminal information filed with the court.
