Man rapes woman 6 times
Police are currently investigating a rape incident reported Saturday afternoon, according to the Department of Public Safety.
DPS spokesman Eric F. David disclosed yesterday that a 23-year-old Chinese female was raped by an unknown male at the REM Center Hotel.
David said that, based on a police report, the victim was at the Carolinian Utt beachside when she was approached by a male. It started to rain and the two went to one of the huts in the area.
Later, two other men approached the two and began talking to them.
David indicated that the female was offered a beer, which she accepted and drank.
During the course of the conversation, the suspect told the victim that he has a lot of money, a nice house, and can marry her and give her a U.S. passport. The report indicated that the victim said she fell for the man’s story.
The suspect and victim were dropped off at the hotel where the man reportedly raped her.
When interviewed by authorities, the woman said that, while at the hotel, the man started to kiss her and she refused. The man got angry and tore her clothes off, raping her six times, before leaving her.
An unknown individual called DPS from the hotel at 3:49pm to report the incident.
David said medics were dispatched to the scene and transported the victim to the Commonwealth Health Center for medical treatment. The victim was interviewed at the hospital.
David said the suspect stood about 5’9 in height and had a large frame.
