March Against Cancer meeting today

The first team captains’ meeting for the 2005 Marianas March Against Cancer will be held at the Hard Rock Café at 5:30pm today, Feb. 3.

All those interested in forming teams for this year’s march are encouraged to attend this important meeting. Team captains’ packets will be distributed and the 2005 MMAC committee will be present to address any concerns and/or questions. Additionally, any individual, group, association, company, or agency that may have questions about the event or is considering forming a new team is also encouraged to attend.

MHS make-up classes next week

The Marianas High School will be holding regular classes for all students on Feb. 7-10, 2005 (Monday-Thursday). This calendar change is necessary to make up for days missed during Typhoon Chaba. All students and faculty are required to report to school on these four days.

On Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, no classes will be held for students. Teachers will be attending the CNMI State-wide Professional Development Training at Kagman High School.

Zoning board hearing today

The initial meeting of the Saipan Zoning Board will be held today, Feb. 3, 2005, at 7pm in the ground floor conference room of the Hon. Juan A. Sablan Memorial Building, Capitol Hill.

The items on the agenda are:

1. Election of board officers;
2. Organizational Planning for the board;
3. Establishment of immediate priorities for board action.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting.

Chacha PTSA meeting today

This is to inform all parents, legal guardians and the general public that Chacha Oceanview Junior High School will be having a Parents Teachers Students Association meeting today, Feb. 3, 2005, at 6pm, in the school cafeteria. Your presence will be highly appreciated. If you have any questions, call the school at 664-4100.
