A man is facing criminal charges at the U.S. District Court for allegedly peddling illegal drugs several times.

Federal prosecutors lodged five criminal counts against Jie Huang, also known as “J,” for allegedly peddling methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly referred to as “ice.”

Assistant U.S. attorney Timothy Moran filed four counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and a count of conspiracy against Huang.

Huang allegedly engaged in drug peddling activities from May to September in 2004.

Moran said the defendant distributed ice with quantities ranging from 1.3-1.6 grams at least four times on June 1 and 15, July 21, and Sept. 22 last year.
