Hofschneider’s hostility

I was very surprised to read about Rep. Heinz Hofschneider and Rep. David Apatang losing their tempers in a recent House session. These two men are running for governor and lieutenant governor and yet they cannot even control their own tempers and behave like mature adults.

According to news reports, Heinz lashed out at his colleagues and the House legal counsels in a vicious tirade. He became rude, disrespectful, hostile, and emotionally unstable, even to the point of shouting hysterically. He was particularly arrogant and disrespectful to House Floor Leader Oscar M. Babauta and Rep. Justo S. Quitugua. To their credit, Babauta and Quitugua maintained their composure in the face of Hofschneider’s overbearing hostility. They retained their cool, whereas Hofschneider became unglued and discombobulated. I think we should think twice about voting for emotionally unstable and immature candidates who cannot maintain their poise and composure. It reflects badly on the CNMI.
