Tinian recently held its 5th Annual International “Walk for Your Health Day,” attracting a total of 245 participants for a very successful turnout.

Participants came out in force in the early morning hours to participate in the event sponsored by the Tinian Mayor’s Office’s Community Outreach Program.

This walk along the scenic route of Kammer Beach to the well-equipped Tinian Municipal Gymnasium is one of the many projects and programs initiated by Mayor Francisco M. Borja since the beginning of his tenure to promote physical fitness for a healthier community.

Participants who made the effort to join the activity received a free T-shirt commemorating the event. At the end of the walk, they were also treated to healthy fruits and refreshments.

Director Bernie San Nicolas, along with Borja, thank all the participants for making the walk a success. Also, special thanks to all the donors for their continued support and generosity. (Joey C. Charfauros)
