Arts festival meeting tomorrow
The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture, under Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, will hold a general meeting tomorrow, April 6, for all artists, vendors, and parade participants of the 24th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival.
The meeting will be held at 6pm at the Multi-purpose Center in Susupe and will cover general matters, including access to the site, traffic and parking, the booth decorating competition, and the Parade of Cultures.
The Flame Tree Arts Festival will be held on April 15-17, 2005, at American Memorial Park on Saipan. The festival will kick off with the Parade of Cultures on Friday, April 15, at 5 pm on Beach Road from the Carolinian Affairs Office to American Memorial Park, where festivities will continue until 11pm. Festival hours on Saturday will be from 9:30am to 11pm and on Sunday from 9:30am to 10pm.
The Flame Tree Arts Festival is the largest annual arts and crafts festival in Micronesia, featuring live performances and booths for artists to display, sell, and demonstrate traditional crafts and contemporary artwork.
