Parade of Cultures meeting today
The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture under the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs will hold a meeting today, April 11, for all participants in the Parade of Cultures that will take place this Friday, April 15.
The meeting will be held at 6pm at the Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe and will cover the parade lineup, traffic, and parking. New ethnic groups are also welcome to attend to register for the Parade.
The Parade of Cultures, featuring ethnic costumes, will be held on Friday at 5pm on Beach Road in Garapan, from the Carolinian utt to the American Memorial Park. The opening ceremony for the 24th Flame Tree Arts Festival will follow, and the festival will be held at the park through Sunday.
The Flame Tree Arts Festival is the largest annual arts and crafts festival in Micronesia, featuring live performances and booths for artists to display, sell, and demonstrate traditional crafts and contemporary artwork.
