Preparations are now in the works for the 2005 edition of the annual Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival and Beer Garden.

The Taste of the Marianas is a celebration of the diversity of the island’s peoples and their cultures, showcasing exotic and traditional dishes native to the Marianas, alongside dishes with a more international flare, that are readily prepared by some of the island’s best chefs.

This year’s Taste of the Marianas will be held every Saturday from 6pm to 10pm, during the month of May beginning May 7 until May 28 at the American Memorial Park.

Both residents and tourists alike will be able to enjoy the variety of free entertainment, the fine quality of cuisine and beverages in a village-type atmosphere that is uniquely intermingled with the warmth of the island hospitality.

“The Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival and Beer Garden is an event that both visitors to the island, and local residents alike always look forward to every year. This year’s event promises to be an even more exciting venue that will highlight the many culinary talents of the CNMI,” said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Vicky Benavente.

Already on its 7th year, the Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival and Beer Garden is an annual event that began in 1999 as part of the Visit the Marianas Campaign.
