US military to hold training at FDM
The U.S. Military Unit will be conducting aerial and live fire training exercises on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla from May 3 to May 6, from 8am to 4pm and on May 5 from 8am to 7pm.
The Emergency Management Office under the Office of the Governor said the activities are in collaboration with the National Forces Marianas N3. The aerial overflight with no weapons and no dropping training will be from May 3 to 6; the live fire training will be on May 5.
EMO said the actual and general location of the activities would be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla training area from 15,000 feet on a 10-nautical-mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by these activities, the EMO is advising the public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and maritime tour operators, to stay away from the location during the time and dates of the training exercises.
“The cooperation and understanding of the general public is greatly appreciated,” EMO said.
