Tinian San Jose Fiesta tennis tourney starts Friday

The Tinian Tennis Association will kick off its 2005 San Jose Fiesta Tennis Tournament this Friday, May 6, 6pm at the Youth Center tennis courts.

The tournament was originally schedule last week but was put off to allow Saipan players a chance to participate. The Saipan Tennis Association concluded its Toyota Tennis Tournament just this past Saturday.

Events up for grabs in the three-day tourney on Tinian, which wraps up on May 8, are men’s and women’s doubles 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0, men’s and women’s singles 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0, and mixed doubles 2.0 and 3.0.

Entry fee is $15 with free T-shirt for the first entry and $10 for the second. Entry forms will be available at the DCCA office, Youth Center, and from any of the TTA officers and members. The deadline for the submission of entries is Wednesday, May 4, 6pm at the Youth Center tennis court.

Draws for the events will be posted at the Tinian Youth Center court on May 5, 2005.

TTA is organizing the 2005 San Jose Fiesta tourney in cooperation with the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs in Tinian.
