While several baseball and softball teams call the Oleai Sports Complex their home fields, only the Belau Amateur Softball Association calls the comforts of the Dan Dan Community Softball Field its home turf, and they’ll be returning there for start of the 2005 Belau Men’s Softball League and the 2005 Women’s Softball League next month

According to BASA president Newman Techur, the flight-restricted fun is tentatively scheduled to open for business on Saturdays for the Women’s League and Sundays for the Men’s League beginning mid-June.

As a reminder for all of the players, coaches, managers, and team representatives, the BASA Men’s League utilizes low compression/restricted flight balls, and all bats restricted by the U.S. Amateur Softball Association will not be allowed for play—including the Miken 100+. Also, players in both leagues are required to wear matching uniforms with numbered shirts and hat by the team’s third game.

The cost to enter a team in the league for both the Men’s and Women’s League is $500, and it must be submitted with the waiver roster forms, without exception, before the start of the league.
