The Tanapag Braves and UMDA Hustlers are going to have to wait a little bit longer to play each other for the championship of the Saipan Little League Baseball Association tomorrow to provide the organizers of the Tee Ball program extra time making it back from American Memorial Park to witness the season finale.

The start time for the consolation match between the As Matuis Twins and Kagman 1-2-3 has been pushed back an hour for an opening pitch at 11am, followed by the game for all of the marbles at 1pm at Tan Ge Field at the Oleai Sports Complex.

The Braves and Hustlers knocked the Twins and Kagman out of the race respectively last Sunday to the delight of their fan faithful after finishing with the top two records in the league. As a result of their head-to-head tie breaker, the Hustlers took the pennant with an 11-1 record, while the Braves were relegated to the number two seed in the playoffs at 10-2.

While this season’s champions will be decided somewhere before 3pm, this year’s All-Stars will have to wait a bit longer as well, as organizers will meet to finalize the selection process for Saipan’s delegation to the Rota Little League District Tournament that runs from Thursday, June 9, through Tuesday, June 14—the winner of which will represent the CNMI in the Asia Pacific Regional Tournament in Fukouka, Japan from Saturday, July 23 through Saturday, July 30.
