Ninety-two young children received their diplomas during Sister Remedios Early Childhood Development Center’s graduation ceremony held Thursday at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.

Parking space was scarce as even the sidewalks of the facility were occupied with vehicles owned by relatives and friends of graduates attending the event.

Sister Remedios gave three major awards and recognition to students for their excellent performance during the past school year—the Excellence Award, Citizenship Award and Educational Achievement Award.

Brianna Hunter, Jose Nicolas Carreon, Kyle Keisha Villegas were given the Excellence Award; Daryll Glenn DL Navarro, Justin Frankie Limes and Mercilia Teigita were some of the students given the Excellence Award and Educational Achievement Award.

Master of ceremonies Tayna B. Camacho said almost all the students received awards. School principal Sister Martha Ramarui provided an inspiration message to the parents and the children.

Parents and Teachers Association president Sen. Timothy Villagomez served as the keynote speaker. Sister Remedios P. Castro, Ramarui and school board president Jerome Ierome presented the diplomas to the graduates.

The students wowed their parents and everyone in attendance with their rendition of school song “We are the Students.”

The event also recognized the support given them by Education Tax Credit donors namely: Modern Stationery and Trading Co., Hagen’s Saipan, Inc., Aquarius, Inc. Marianas Fast Food, Inc., Town House, Inc., Horizon’s Inc., Big Boy Marine Sports, Inc. Saipan Stevedore Company, Tropical Color Center, and Saipan and C & R Properties.

Sister Remedios also thanked the generosity of Jesus and Annie Sablan, Roman and Patricia Palacios, Clarence Tenorio, Sr. and Gregory Baka.
