The CNMI’s best male physiques will battle it out on stage at the Governor Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe this Saturday night, June 11, as they compete for the coveted title of 2005 Northern Marianas Bodybuilding champion.

Reigning 2004 champion, Jose Dela Cruz Ngiraibuuch, will be facing tough competition from eight other bodybuilders in three weight categories—the lightweight division, the light middleweight division, and the middleweight division.

Ngiraibuuch’s challengers include 2004 lightweight division champion Jeffrey P. Boyer, Sibley A. Santos, Alfredo “Alvin” Belena Rebong Jr., Wen Sheng Wang, Johnny A. Santiago, 2004 light heavyweight division champion Jon March M. Ong, 2004 light heavyweight division runner-up Harvey N. Simpson, and Ronald L. Delos Reyes.

The judges will score each competitor and choose a winner from each weight division to move on to the Overall Championship Round.

Each competitor will present an entertaining posing routine to music before joining the other competitors in their weight division on stage for the mandatory poses and the ever popular “pose down.”

The pose down is when all the competitors in a weight division simultaneously compete for the attention of the judges.

Tickets are only $5 per person and can be purchased in advance at Gold’s Gym in Garapan Central Park or at the door the night of the event.

The event is being presented by the Northern Marianas Bodybuilding Federation and the International Federation of Bodybuilders and is sponsored by Gold’s Gym Saipan. The event starts at 6:30pm and will run through 9pm.

For more information and to reserve tickets, call Gold’s Gym at 233-4000. (PR)
