Four boys face robbery charges after allegedly conspiring to snatch the wallet of a woman who was doing her laundry near the U.S. Postal Service in Chalan Kanoa Saturday.

Police have arrested three of the four boys, whose ages range from 8 to 12.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David did not release the suspects’ identities. David said investigators have also identified the fourth suspect, who remains at large yesterday.

David said the victim, Min Li, stepped outside a laundromat shortly before noon to use the pay phone when the boys snatched her wallet from her pocket.

The woman saw the four boys and gave chase but failed to catch up with the suspects.

Later that day, however, police caught the three suspects at the beach behind Townhouse department store. The victim later identified the suspects as those involved in snatching her wallet.

Police recovered the wallet. David did not specify the contents of the wallet and whether they were all recovered.
