Good news to all Filipinos on the island: Forex is now back in business in the CNMI under a new management that promises to be the leading shipper of “balikbayan” boxes to the Philippines.

“We are back in your neighborhood to bring you the most reliable door-to-door cargo,” said country manager Jerome Susim.

He said Forex can deliver any packages to anywhere in the Philippines—true to their running slogan “Dahil Kailangang Makarating.”

He said Forex will have its grand opening tomorrow, July 30, at 4pm and Susim is inviting everyone to witness the ceremony.

The Forex company is an international name that has been servicing millions of clients for over 22 years now, said Susim. He said Forex was first established in the District of Columbia and now operates in four continents under the Chartered Forex Inc., Regent Forex Inc., Forex Cargo Inc., Forexworld Holdings, Inc. and Forex Cargo Philippines Inc.

Forex is licensed and bonded as a transmitter of money in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the states of Maryland, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, and California and the Forex “balikbayan” box services are also available in America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, the Pacific, and Australia.

Susim said Forex delivers “love, door-to-door and heart-to-heart.”

“That’s what makes the difference with Forex,” he added.

He said the business caters to all overseas Filipinos worldwide, enabling them to cross the bridge to their loved ones. He promises the same kind of service in the Commonwealth and vows that they will remain true to their mission under the new management.

What puts Forex a cut above their competition is that senders can track the status of their packages via the Internet. “They can check their boxes through our website,” he said.

Senders are also assured of their packages’ security. The receiving parties would be given an acknowledgment receipt and photos would be taken as proof of the packages reaching their intended destinations in the Philippines.

He said interested individuals do not need to go to the Forex office to buy boxes because their dependable staff would deliver the boxes right at their doorsteps. “The staff would also pick up your packages and boxes at no cost to the customers,” said Susim.

Susim said their Saipan office will be recruiting more staff beginning this month to reach out to all community members in the CNMI. “There will be sub-agents in the CNMI,” he said. Forex will branch out to hotels and the villages in the CNMI, including Rota and Tinian.

To top it all, Susim said clients are assured of rates that are flat and very affordable. Two different box sizes are available to suit the customers’ needs. He said unlike other cargo companies, their delivery is straight to the Philippines and will not pass Guam, thus delivery is faster in just two to four weeks maximum.

Susim is also a common name on Guam because he has been with Forex Guam since 1998, which he took over in 2003. Since then, his Guam customers have learned to call him “Mr. Forex.”

He said he owes his success in the business to the personalized service that he gives his clients. “I’m the one who picks up the boxes, because customers feel more comfortable when they deal with you personally, instead of somebody else.”

Forex Saipan is now located along Garapan, Beach Road, near the former Meaney Express.

Tomorrow, they would be giving away some souvenirs for those who will grace their opening ceremony in the afternoon. The ceremony will be broadcast live over KWOW FM radio station.
