A couple of burglary incidents recorded Wednesday morning

A couple of burglaries on Saipan early Wednesday morning were reported to the Department of Public Safety.

DPS spokeswoman Catherine Sheu said one burglary incident happened in San Antonio when an unidentified thief broke into an apartment in Afetnas.

She said the 25-year-old victim reported to the police at around 12:41am that his digital camera, which was valued at about $1,400, was stolen in his apartment. Sheu said the victim, whom DPS did not identify, also reported that his payroll check of $308 was also taken from his room.

Another burglary was reported in Dandan at around 3:12am. Sheu said, this time, unidentified persons broke into a barracks located in the area. She said the report indicated that seven people were victimized by the theft. The seven victims reported to the police that several personal and monetary items were stolen from their place.

No arrest has yet been made for both cases and the cases are now under further investigation with the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
