VFW Post 3457 would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the people of Saipan for the donations it received for its Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

“Through your generous donations of money, gifts and time we were able to raise over $5,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief. We, along with thousands of other posts around the world that held fund raising events this weekend, will send the donations to the VFW National organization,” said VFW Saipan Post 3457 commander Barry Hirshbein.

VFW Post 3457 will distribute it to VFW posts that are providing food, shelter, clothing and other necessities for hurricane victims.

“If you were unable to contribute at the events it is not too late. You may drop off your donation at the VFW Post Home on Beach road any day after 4pm,” added Hirshbein. (PR)
