The Library Friends is inviting the public to participate in a project that is intended to promote the preservation of the cultures of the native Chamorro and Carolinian people.

As part of the project, a Children’s Center, located at the Joeten/Kiyu Public Library, is under renovation to serve as a venue for the above activities, including the acquisition of print and non-print materials (videos, DVDs, CDs, etc.).

The group is inviting all public and private schools teachers, youth and community centers, related agencies and organizations, and individuals to:

• Recommend titles (print and non-print) for the project to consider purchasing to support the above listed activities. E-mail or call the project office at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library for details on how to do this.

E-mail (edrprojects@gmail.com), call (235-7322), or fax (235-7550) your comments and recommendations regarding this project to Children of Our Homeland project director Liz Rechebei, if possible, before Dec. 16, 2005.
