All members of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce will have the opportunity to train and prepare high school junior and senior students for employment with private sector businesses. This training is intended to provide students with knowledge and training in the private industry’s “Demand Driven” concept.

Director Jesse P. Stein of the Workforce Investment Agency said that the agency will recruit and prepare students needing part-time employment in the private industries. The SCC members will identify the critical needed position that the youth are needed to learn in the industry.

“I ask for you recommendation of this program and how to further improve the youth in our business industry. To provide this opportunity to our youth and knowing what it really takes to survive in the private industry, I feel that the best training comes from private businesses and their leaders that shape the CNMI in Economic Development,” said Stein in a letter to Chamber members.

For more information, e-mail Stein at gov.wia1@gtepacifica.net, providing him of the company name; description of the position; business industry and number of trainees that the company can train.

Deadline for responses is Nov. 11, 2005. (PR)
