The Philippine Consulate on Saipan will be conducting overseas absentee voter registration of qualified Filipino voters on Tinian and Rota on Dec. 10-11 and Dec. 17-18, respectively.

The Overseas Absentee Voter registration is in connection with the 2007 Philippine national elections. Registration hours are from 9am to 5pm with an hour-long lunch break.

The registration venue on Tinian will be at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino, while the registration venue on Rota will be at the Eskwelan San Francisco de Borja in Songsong Village.

To register, a valid Philippine passport and a photocopy of the document should be submitted. For seaman applicants, a valid Seaman’s Book and photocopy of the document should be submitted.

Those who have registered for overseas absentee voting in 2003 and were approved need not register again.

The Philippine Consulate will also be releasing the Voter’s Identification Cards of those who had registered in 2003 and were approved by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) but have not yet claimed them. Passport services will also be rendered. (PR)
