In praise of Tottotville

I am writing to thank the residents of Tottotville for their amazing generosity and spirit in opening their neighborhood to the community on All Hallows Eve.

My daughter is three years old and this year was her first real trick-or-treating experience. Thanks to all of you, it was a warm and memorable experience. She told me that you have a “nice village” and a “friendly neighborhood.”

I only hope you did not experience too much damage to your plants and trash on your lawns from some of the unsupervised kids that night. I was disappointed to see some kids darting in front of cars, trampling landscaping, and throwing their trash on the ground as they gobbled their candy.

Thanks again!
