It’s that time of year again when the future stars of the CNMI are warming up their arms and playing catch with their friends as the Saipan Little League Baseball Association and its supporters are gearing up for the start of the upcoming season in February.

While the kids are busy oiling up their gloves, SLLBA President Mike Borja is calling for all interested managers and coaches to gather in the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium at the Oleai Sports Complex for an important meeting tomorrow morning at 10am.

Organizers expect a record number of teams in all four of the divisions as well as an increase in the turnout for the tee-ball program and the girls’ softball pilot program this season.

Borja said that he will be covering issues from rules changes to the new age requirements for the New Year, and that anyone contemplating leading tomorrow’s Major Leaguers in 2006 should be present.

For more information about the SLLBA or tomorrow’s meeting, contact Borja by calling 322-9889.
