2 charged for series of burglary cases
The Attorney General’s Office has charged two men who burglarized two apartments in Garapan and a barracks in Gualo Rai and stole cash, jewelry, and other items.
Daniel H. Dela Cruz, 22, and Michael Peter, 25, were charged with three counts of burglary, and five counts of theft.
Chief Prosecutor Jeffrey Moots stated in the information that on June 7, 2005, Dela Cruz and Peter broke into one of the rooms of 12 C’s Apartment in Garapan.
The defendants stole a TV set, a DVD player, golf clubs, and jewelry with a total value of $2,057, belonging to Clifford Camacho and Leilani Elis.
Moots said that on June 30, 2005, the defendants burglarized a barracks located behind A Plus Electronics in Gualo Rai owned by Jong Myong Kim.
The defendants allegedly stole jewelry, a boombox, and cash in the total amount of $2,057, belonging to Gedara Krankoth.
Dela Cruz and Peter also stole a TV set, VCD player, jewelry and cash in the total amount of $1,160, belonging to Yan Jun Zhou.
The defendants took Xiang Jian Cai’s wristwatch and cash worth $95.
On Oct. 5, 2005, the defendants allegedly broke into an apartment of Evangeline Tecson in Garapan and stole cash and jewelry in the amount of $427. (Ferdie de la Torre)
