UOG SR. ROTC PROGRAM TO BEGIN AT NMC
The University of Guam will be offering their Senior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Program on the Northern Marianas College Campus starting in late January of 2006.
The program, focusing on leadership development for potential Army officers, will be held on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Friday, Jan. 27, 2006. Class times will run from 6am to 4pm utilizing one weekend per month.
Lt. Col. David Okada and Major Frank Tominez, from the University of Guam, will be on Saipan on Thursday, Dec. 1, to speak to prospective SROTC students. They will be located on the Northern Marianas College Campus in the Career Center (Building I) between 7:30am and 11am to discuss the program, its benefits, to answer questions and to sign students up.
To establish an appointment time, phone the NMC Community Development Institute at 234-5498 extension 1005/1030 or 1014.
WSR HAS NEW TELEPHONE NUMBERS
William S. Reyes Elementary has switched to a telephone program called SHORETEL. This program is designed for Internal Telephone use within the WSR Campus.
The telephone numbers have changed. However, you can still dial 664-3971 and 664-3972. Please make a note of it. Every classroom has a telephone extension number. Your child’s teacher will provide the classroom extension number through their monthly classroom newsletter.
If you want to speak to the teacher, you can dial the school directly using the extension number. Teachers will not be able to return your call until after school. Please refrain from making a classroom telephone call during instructional time. For emergency calls, contact the office numbers. All calls are monitored.
Any time you call the school office, we will entertain your call. If a call is for a teacher, we will forward your call to a voice mail. Again, the teacher can retrieve it after school. The office telephones can call out anytime. This program is a first of its kind for PSS and we are the first school to receive this telephone project/service. Eventually, all the public schools will have telephones inside the classrooms.
The new mainline/telephone numbers for WSR offices are:
Secretary’s Office (670) 237-3542 or (670) 664-3971
