AGO prosecutes five for various offenses
The Attorney General’s Office has prosecuted five persons in separate cases for allegedly committing various offenses.
Charged were Edwin Tudela Takai, 36; Sumang Stanger Riungel, 38; Taija Palacios Masga, 19; Jimmy Blancia, 33; and Afina Antonio, 32.
The defendants were summoned to appear and answer the charges in Superior Court.
Takai was charged with assault and battery. He was accused of yanking on his wife’s arms and pushing her on Oct. 24, 2005.
Chief Prosecutor Jeffrey Moots said Takai’s conduct occurred in the presence of the couple’s two teenaged children.
Riungel was charged with assault and battery for grabbing a woman’s neck and choking her on June 23, 2005.
In a separate case, Riungel was also charged with assault for allegedly attacking another woman on Oct. 26, 2005.
Masga was charged with three counts of forgery. She allegedly forged three checks belonging to a woman in the amount of $950, $197.50, and $241.50 respectively on Sept. 8, 2005.
Blancia was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for attempting to cause bodily harm to a woman while armed with a knife on Nov. 28, 2005.
Antonio was charged with assault and battery for slapping a woman, knocking her to the floor on Nov. 3,2005. (Ferdie de la Torre)
