CUC to close La Fiesta payment center
Beginning Thursday, the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.’s customer service center in La Fiesta will be permanently closed.
The CUC said in a media statement that the closure of the La Fiesta customer service center would be effective 4pm on Thursday.
Following the closure, the CUC said its customer service center would be centralized at the existing Dandan branch, particularly on the ground floor of the Joeten Dandan Building.
CUC’s acting executive director, Sohale Samari, said the move is part of efforts to consolidate operations to enhance efficiency amid the lack of manpower.
The Dandan branch currently has 11 staff members—five cashiers and six customer service personnel. Once the La Fiesta customer service center closes, its three personnel will be detailed at the Dandan outlet, which will have a total manpower of 14.
The CUC maintained that customers could still make payments through all Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, and Bank of Saipan outlets. Customers may also make payments to CUC via mail, or they may arrange for direct credit card payments to CUC.
The CUC advised those who might have additional inquiries to contact the Dandan customer service center at 664-6202 to 06.
