It was truly a night of livewire music and spectacular videos, as Marianas Music Videos provided local music lovers an early Christmas treat Monday night by organizing the islands’ biggest concert featuring local artists.

Dubbed “Christmas in Paradise Concert,” the event drew more than 16 individual and group artists at Saipan World Resort’s Royal Taga Hall.

MMV producer and local artist A.J. Baldevia and Amerasia hosted the Christmas in Paradise Concert, which featured Pete Magofna’s rap music in Chamorro, the island rock and roll beat of Split Attitude, and Tagalog Christmas songs of local favorite Jerry Alcantara. Dubba D also brought down the house with their hip-hop rap number and debuted their own musical composition entitled So Much.

Miss Teen CNMI Divana Dela Cruz and local artist Walter Manglona performed Christmas songs, while Tinian Team Nono showed their electrifying dance moves.

Other performers included Baldevia, local star Amber Mendiola, The All Star Islanders, Amerasia, Larson Silas, Marcelino Quiroz, Man’amko Rockers, Virgil Viray, and Mark Nauta, among others.

MMV, the local verison of the world-renowned MTV, has produced 15 music videos, and plans to come up with a local music video channel that will feature local talents 24 hours daily, seven days a week.
