Friends of the Arts is inviting everyone who enjoy a good comedy to join them in this week’s auditions for “You can’t take it with you!”

Auditions will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, from 4:30pm to 7pm and Friday, Jan. 20, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Marianas High School Drama Studio, Building D, Room 101.

The cast of 19 includes roles for adults young and old, male and female.

This Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman features a zany family of unique individuals who live for the moment.

Everyone in the Sycamore household, including household help and an odd assortment of family friends, does what he or she pleases, which is NOT what most other people in their community would do. That is, except Alice, the “normal” daughter who falls in love with the son of the wealthy Kirby family.

When the Kirbys join the Sycamores for dinner, the fireworks really start! The movie version of this madcap play won several Academy Awards, and Friends of the Arts is encouraging everyone to join them in bringing it to the Saipan stage.

Production dates are March 30, 31, and April 1.

Auditions are fun and you do not need to prepare anything in advance—just come! For more information, contact Friends of the Arts president Melody Actouka at 234-5498, 2005, or 235-1320. (PR)
