Playing weekly trivia nights at the Hamilton’s Bar paid off for the winning team of the inaugural Saipan International School Team Trivia Night at the Pacific Islands Club Saturday night.

Hamilton’s Hecklers, composed of husbands-and-wives team of Jim and Kathryn Barry, Jim and Jill Arenovski, and Tim and Jennifer Moran, scored 36 points to best 19 other hopefuls.

The team ran away with a perfect 10 score during the History and Legend category.

Kathryn Barry said the team’s regular stint at the Hamilton’s was enough practice for them to win the game but she said, “Nice thing about it, we’re all diverse in our own knowledge base.”

She said what each member did was contribute through stored knowledge, especially in their profession. “Hamilton’s is a good practice and lots of fun!”

Jerry John, who organized the event with his wife, said he helped plan and hold the event for the benefit of SIS.

John acknowledged over 39 sponsors who made the event a success. “But we want to especially recognize Andy Tidwell of Couture Marketing for helping us organize the event through contacting people and donations.”

SIS headmaster Dale Jenkins said he was overwhelmed with the support of the community, especially the parents. He said the school was able to raise over $6,000 that night.

PIC’s Jon Cramer added some spice and fun to the event as the night’s game show host by impersonating Bob Parker.

Team Men In Black stole the limelight from team 5 Queens and Their Ace for winning the Best Themed special award, but 5 Queens bagged the Most Unique Team.

SIS thanked the following for their support of the event: John, Cramer, Debbie Bilston-John, Carol Auther, Jacquie Austin, Stephanie Jewell, and Yoriko Sugie.

FAS Moving and Storage owner and president George Fleming donated a check worth $1,500 for the school during the event last Saturday.
