The 25th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival will be held April 27-30, 2006, on Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands.

The “Ebb & Flow: Tides of Culture” poetry forum and illustration exhibit will open on Thursday, April 27, at the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. The exhibit will open at 3pm, followed by the poetry forum at 3:30pm. The poetry forum is open to the public and will feature Chamorro and Carolinian proverbs, original poetry, and recitation of poetry from throughout the Pacific. The exhibit will remain open for the duration of the festival during regular library hours.

Opening ceremonies for the festival will be held Thursday at 6pm at American Memorial Park. The festival will run Thursday 6-10pm, Friday at 6-11pm, Saturday from 10am to 11pm, and Sunday from 10am to 10pm.

The Flame Tree Film Festival will be held at the American Memorial Park Visitors Center. Check film festival schedule for times.

The Parade of Cultures will be held on Saturday, April 29, in Garapan. Beach Road will be closed from 8:30am to 11am from the Carolinian Utt to Micro Beach for the parade.
