Teasing but still polite was the general assessment of people who came to yesterday’s Aqua Resort Club’s all-male review lunch show.

“It was not all flesh. Some walked without really flaunting their fronts, but it’s okay. I think the theme is still captured,” said one female guest.

Aqua Resort’s all-male review, which featured its male staff in Greek gods and heroes costumes, was part of the lunch program held at the Raraina and Costa Terrace Restaurants in observance of the Administrative Professional’s Day.

“I think people like it,” said a cheerful Yoshimi Yanagisawa, ARC Food & Beverage sales manager.

She said the show was a team effort, citing that the entire program was produced and directed by the F&B team.

“Even the decoration, the stage, music, everything. It’s all our people working together,” she said.

Manny Barcial, Food & Beverage director, said yesterday’s production was a deviation from previous years’ shows.

“Since 1995, we had been holding fashion shows. It’s about time to do something different now,” he said.

He recalled that ARC used to invite NMI pageant beauties to model during the occasion. “But they’re usually busy and it’s hard to gather them all at one time, so we decided to feature our own staff instead,” he said.

Yesterday, ARC set up two platforms—a main stage at Raraina and a smaller stage at Costa Terrace—for models to walk on.

“We want to bring it closer to everybody,” said Barcial.

Equal Fusion, a local dance group, also performed in yesterday’s event.

Meantime, about 12 guests won special prizes during a raffle drawing held during the occasion.

ARC gave away gifts from DFS, Budget Car Rental, and PTI.

The grand prize—an overnight stay for two at Aqua Resort worth $290—went to a staff from the Superior Court.

Yesterday’s lunch buffet gathered nearly 200 guests, many of them from the government—Public School System, Department of Labor, and the Superior Court.
