“Nothing is impossible,” was the theme that 24 graduates of Grace Christian Academy Jr. High School adopted during their promotional ceremony Saturday afternoon.

Jo Hannah Cabrera led this year’s list of graduates after being named valedictorian.

In her welcome remarks, GCA principal Faith Dela Rosa warned graduates of the challenges they will encounter.

“[Graduates] you will be facing challenges and the truth is you might fall and stumble along the way,” she said.

Dela Rosa encouraged the graduates to stay positive and to keep the discipline they gained in GCA. “School is ending, but the discipline and hard work is now beginning. This summer is the time to prepare for next [school] year.”

Cabrera also shared the stage with Dela Rosa and reminded her peers that learning is a lifetime experience. “Remember school isn’t only where you learn. Life is always a learning process,” she said.

In his message to the graduates, associate pastor Ferdinand Guinto advised the graduates to keep moving.

“The best advice for all of you is to keep moving. Graduation is a ceremony that marks the end of study and the beginning of education…if you stop moving, you’ll go no where,” he said.

Jimmy Phan was awarded the second highest GPA as this year’s salutatorian.

Also graduating with honors were First Honorable Mention Daniel Javier, Second Honorable Mention Bianca Blanco, and Third Honorable Mention Nakita Cabrera.

Graduates were recognized for their participation in the volleyball and basketball team. Other awards included Perfect Attendance Award, Character Award, Citizenship Award, and Bible Study Award.
