Fun & Games and Uragon Boys last week grabbed the pole positions in the Philippine Bowling Association-Budweiser Saturday Night League and Monday Night League, respectively.

Fun & Games dropped only one game last week to raise its record in the 35th season of the Saturday Night League to 34.5-17.5, a full game ahead of erstwhile leader McAsia which dropped to second place with a 33.5-18.5 record.

SBC/J’s Restaurant and Bowl Like Chit leapfrogged past last week’s third placer Just 4 Fun with win-loss standings of 32-20 and 29-23, respectively. Just 4 Fun seems to having none of it after tumbling to a 27-25 record last week.

Uragon Boys, for its part, took over the driver’s seat of the 3rd season of the Monday Night League after going 6-1 last week to improve to 12-4. Early leader CIC-Aon dropped to second place at 11-5, followed by Super Fafa at 10-5. Team Familia and So Fine!!! close out the Top 5 with identical records of 9-7.

While McAsia and CIC-Aon succumbed to challenges of up-and-coming teams in their leagues, the same cannot be said of PBA-Capital Bowling Center Thursday Night League pacesetter Taga Air.

The team bankrolled by the inter-island airline continued to fly high in the 20th season of the Thursday Night League with a win-loss record of 41.5-26.5. STAXX moved up four notches to second place with a 39-29 standing, while Multi-Line Supply (38-20), DFS (36-32), and StaR Water-Indians (36-32) complete the Top 5.

The 19th season of the PBA-CBC Friday Night League got going last Oct. 20 with three teams—8 Gam3ler, UIC, and Jen Marz—taking the early lead with unblemished 4-0 starts.

Sai Hand, Pure H20, and GPPC are right in their coattails with 3-1 marks, while 18th season champion Jos Corp., PTI DSL Lite, Mantrade, and PTI are all bundled up with 2-2 records.
