Boyer wins $5K in Las Vegas Night
The lobby and restaurants of the Aqua Resort Club was transformed into a game arena, dazzling with glitz and glamour as the Rotary Club of Saipan held its annual Las Vegas Night last Saturday.
Hundreds of community members thronged the hotel to support the club’s yearly event and have a chance to win big bucks at the different card games such as Black Jack, craps, and poker, as well as bingo and the roulette.
Entrepreneur Pat Boyer, the wife of Rotarian Gabe Boyer, went home the biggest winner that night. Boyer won the much-awaited $5,000 grand prize for this year’s Las Vegas Night.
“I am so happy,” said an exultant Boyer, who said she would spend the prize wisely when the club remits it to her.
According to the civic group, a separate presentation of the cash prizes to all the winners would be arranged soon.
The two major winners for the cash raffle were present during the event. Roy L. Banados bagged the $3,000 cash prize while ticket number 0463 with initials of I.M.B won third place.
Event host and Rotarian Kathryn Barry said the Rotary Club would be contacting the winner through the given number on the ticket stub.
Herb Soll, Ginny Reyes, and Julie Abad won $1,000 each while Debra Diaz, Katy Dela Cruz, and Becky Castro won $500 each.
Rotary Club of Saipan president Deanna Kelly-Tessen closed the event by acknowledging all individuals, entities and groups that supported this year’s event.
Nobody won the $25,000 Six Dice Roll and the $50,000 jackpot for the Super Bingo.
